These terms apply when you use Spotlight at spotlightlocal.app. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Spotlight.
Using Spotlight
Spotlight is a place to discover small businesses and for business owners to share their stories. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password safe. Give us accurate information when you sign up.
Business accounts
If you create a business account, you confirm that you own or are authorized to manage the business. Your business display name is shown publicly. Do not impersonate another business or person, and keep listing details accurate.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, text and other content you post. By posting, you give Spotlight a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and share that content on and in connection with Spotlight. You promise that you have the rights to what you post and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights.
What is not allowed
- Illegal, harassing, hateful, deceptive or sexually explicit content.
- Spam, fake reviews, or misleading claims about a business.
- Attempting to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorized access to Spotlight.
- Using Spotlight to collect other people’s information without permission.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report a problem, email reports@spotlightlocal.app or use the contact form.
Business information and third parties
Business details such as hours, addresses and offers are provided by businesses or sample data and may be out of date. Check with a business directly before you visit or buy. Spotlight does not sell goods or services listed by businesses and is not a party to any transaction between you and a business.
Our service
Spotlight is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure. We may change or stop features at any time.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Spotlight and its owners are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending your account
You can stop using Spotlight at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@spotlightlocal.app. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If you keep using Spotlight after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. We will update the date above whenever the terms change.
